I am still taking orders for custom portraits for 2012 Christmas.

This is my studio in the barn.

This is a pastel that was commissioned for a special girl's sweet 16 birthday. These are always harder than a single subject and take a lot longer,,,  If I don't like a single subject, I can throw it away and just start over,,, on these,, you can get all but one perfect and mess up the rest of the pic,,,  soooo it take patience ,,,, lots and lots of it,

This is a portrait that is done for a young man's mother for Mother's Day of his brother. I wish I could be a fly on the wall when she opens it   :o)

I have the best job,,, I get to draw these beautiful animals for a living  :o)

There is never a dull moment in the studio,, This fabulous animal is "007"  He is as beautiful as he is a fabulous performance animal

I don't usually do black and white, but I do like how this turned out. The client wanted it to stay black and white like the original photo so I stayed with white, grey and back pastels.

I got to take my drawing to a different level and have started illustrating children's books for my friend and author Vicki Watson. I am so excited about this project. I am illustrating my first book.  I am so happy to do this because not only are these great books for the young horse enthusiast, the author has included wonderful messages into each book.
